Update fail ( Windows xp64 )

Hello,to all
please help me,
i have update my PI on my pc with XP professional 64 bit,but I see thi error : Pixinsightupdtater.exe-unable to locate component
this application has failed to start because MSVCP100.dll was not found re installing the application may fix the problem.

Hi Giampaolo,

Welcome to PixInsight Forum.

On Windows XP you have to uncheck the "Protect my computer..."  checkbox on the confirmation window that pops up just before the updater begins copying files.

This happens because unfortunately Windows XP doesn't support UAC (User Account Control). PixInsight's update system is based on UAC and signed code for authentication on Windows Vista and Windows 7.
