M106
« on: 2011 May 11 13:01:49 »
Hi

I have a little image of M106,  which I am sure plenty of you can do better ;D

But what I have managed to do on this image is intergrate Ha using the " Vincent Peris way " which uses a formula to ectract the line emission and add it to my image without affecting the stars to much , This is the best I have done with Ha  8)

Regards Harry

p.s. Many thanks to vincent for his formulas

Harry

A lovely image, works very well. When are you going to 'do' a tutorial on it (said with tongue firmly in cheek)

Harry,

Don't fool yourself, this is a fantastic image.  Extremely well done.  Lovely color saturation, especially with the stars.

Very nice image.
Do you have a copy of the image prior to applying Ha (in order to see the diference)?

Hi Harry

I have been trying your methodology with respect to Ha and red. I use astrodon true-balance RGB with the red filter at 40nm to 50nm The filter size is 31mm which gives some very strange results when applied in pixel maths. Am I using the correct units?

Thanks for all the time and effort put into your videos.

Harry

Another excellent video  :D

I have a question on the 'size of the Ha filter' in the first PixelMath expression. I am assuming should be the bandwith and maybe the problem Jules is having.
