Pixinsight stores the path(s) of the installation and some other values into the registry, for example that .psm-files belong to Pleiades Astrophoto.PixInsight.xpsm.
After it found the 3 folders, click F3 on your keyboard and continue the search.
Just a few example below
It could be also that the previous installer, which is still on your system got corrupted.
This is not necessarily a problem with Pixinsight, but with Windows, for example Windows still stores values from my previous versions in the registry, as you can see
And as you can see on the screenshot below, there are definitely more than 3 folders about Pixinsight.
However, as I mentioned before, it is really important to make a system restore before deleting anything from the registry, that you can go back before that "operation", in case anything goes wrong.
