Incorrect user credentials

I tried to log onto the software distribution site to download the latest version of Pixinsight but received a "Incorrect user credentials" message. I use a password manager that automatically fills in the username and password so I didn't understand why the password was not accepted, but nevertheless I requested a password reset. I received the email link and accepted the Pixinsight generated new password, but was again blocked. A second password reset gave the same result - incorrect user credentials. My username (email address) is obviously correct because I successfully received the password reset emails, but I don't understand why even the Pixinsight-generated passwords don't work. Please assist.

this is a common problem, because it seems a lot of password managers can't distinguish between pixinsight.com/forum and dist.pixinsight.com.
