Hi,

- load 4 images
- hit Ctrl-pgdown
- again
- again
- again
- notice the same two images are shown. The other two never show up.

If this is as intended it should be renamed to 'previous image' or something like that. That would be helpful mind you. I'd prefer the standard windows behavior of alt-w plus a number to grab the numbered image. I know, not much of a chance of that happening :)
Best,

Hi Sander,

This is the intended behavior. I guess you expected this answer, didn't you? :)

The Window > Next Image command is intended to swap between two images quickly, without having to use the mouse. Its primary purpose is to help during dynamic processes that work with two images, as DynamicAlignment, or to toggle between two versions (as before/after versions) of the same image.

The Window > Send Active Image Window to Back command works as you expect, cycling throughout the whole set of open images.

As you know, there is the View Selector docked at the bottom left corner by default, which allows you to select any view. In addition, you can use the View Explorer to navigate through all images and their defined previews as a tree structure.

I have something very nice on the drawing board that will work as an image navigator (and more). It is complex and still requires a lot of work though... patience! :)

Hi Juan,

may I then repeat my suggestion to call the menu item 'previous image'? That would clearly describe what it does. I agree it's a good feature to have.

I know about the other ways to switch my images and they're nice but I (and most other users) am used to navigating my files with keyboard short cuts, hence my desire for the standard (there's that annoying word again) windows MDI interface. It would make PI easier to learn. Right now PI has the reputation for being complex and difficult to learn. I'd like to help improve that situation if I can. So I'll continue being a pest and pointing out issues like this :)

Thanks for explaining the 'send active image back' feature, it wasn't clear that this would do what I wanted. Now it sounds pretty obvious of course :)
