DBE doesn't recognise the Delete key!
« on: 2015 December 20 01:59:06 »
Hi

I have had all the same problems with DBE that have been listed in recent threads - background not appearing or loosing focus etc - which appear to have been solved in the latest release but I have a problem with the Delete key not working when deleting DBE samples. I have to put the focus back on the DBE dialog and use the X icon. This behaviour only appeared in the previous release and remains in the latest one. Strange as things like PgUp and PgDn still work when the image windows has focus. I am using Windows 10.

Thanks

Doug

Weirder and weirder! This works on my OSC data from an old project but continues to not work on my recent mono data!

Hi Doug,

This is not reproducible on any platform. The Delete key works without problems with DBE on Linux, OS X and Windows on all of our testing machines.

HI

I have PixInsight 1.8 1195 on OSX and the delete keys has never worked on my system I have to use the red x in the preview window to delete sample points, Just makes it more tedious. I am just wondering maybe I need to hit another key plus the delete to get it to work. (Using a bluetooth keyboard).

try option-delete or apple-delete or some combination like that. i think the "delete" key on a mac actually generates "backspace" without a modifier key...

Thanks, sorry for the late reply.

This definitely did NOT work for a couple of days around my original post, I use DBE all the time and wasn't doing anything unusual. It definitely worked for OSC data (saved as a fits within the project) and not for Mono(which had been saved within the project as XSIF) which seems to role out a local issue (RAM, keyboard prob etc). Having said that it seems to be working again!! I will keep you posted if this behaviour returns.
