I'd like to test an assumption with the NBRGBCombination script, which I think is awesome BTW.

In very simplistic terms, am I correct in saying that this script blends the narrowband image into the RGB image such that the brighter parts of both are retained? In other words, if I'm blending Ha into the R channel, the R stars will be maintained while adding Ha signal to the nebulosity. In this scenario the background and stars of the R channel are retained.
Is there a way to do the opposite, add the star information from the R to the Ha image? So basically the background and signal of the Ha image is retained while the stars from the R are added to the Ha?
I'm still a dummy with PI, so please use the dummy version of your response. Thanks in advance!
