Tarantula Nebula
« on: 2014 December 30 00:17:41 »
These two renditions of the Tarantula Nebula (NGC 2070) are the first ones to come from my Proline 16803.
There is an LRGB image
http://www.astrobin.com/143681/
with the red and green channels boosted by Ha and OIII respectively and there is the narrowband image
http://www.astrobin.com/143682/in which the colour mapping is Ha --> Red, OIII --> Green and OIII + 0.2*Ha --> Blue.
Total exposure of 6 hours was about an hour in each channel.
Mount: Astro-Physics 900GTO
Telescope: 12.5" PlaneWave CDK.
Camera: FLI Proline 16803.

Comments welcome
