Process Instances just keep piling up

Each time I open PI it starts a new process instance. There seems to be no functionality to reset the number of instances I have (or be able to get back to the ones I have).

Is this a future functionality, an oversight, or a bug?

Hi Adam,

Multiple instances are a new feature introduced in version 1.2. I have answered your post on the PixInsight sub-forum.

There's no option to recover running instances because the entire multiple instances functionality is (supposedly!) controlled in a completely automatic way.

Let's continue with this issue on the PixInsight sub-forum for now. I want to identify the exact cause of these "persistent" instances that you're having. This is a very odd behavior that hasn't been reported before. I am unable to reproduce it on all Windows and Linux machines that I have at hand.
