Yellowish/amber star mask
« on: 2014 June 15 19:25:53 »
I need a star mask that contains only the yellowish and amber stars, but cannot seem to get there. I have tried manipulations involving the hue angle (~60 deg, as I understand) and ratios of R/G to isolate the colors I want (then use the StarMask tool). Nothing gets me to my goal. Help Appreciated.

Take a look at the ColorRange process, in my CMSegmentation module. It may help you to make this task easier.

Name: ColorRange
Description: This process creates a new binary image that reflects the selection of a cube or spherical selection around a user defined "color". This selection may be defined in various space colors, giving a lot of freedom.

Definitely going to check that out Carlos! Remember too Alex, that even with an 'all-star' mask, the Saturation module can restrict adjustments to yellow stars only. If it's a function other than color, indeed we'll need to try Carlos's new magic.
Best always, Warren
