Workflow Cribsheet Rev20a (Short Form)
« on: 2014 March 04 02:49:16 »
Hey PI World,

I have recently made a number of major corrections to my cribsheet, based largely on what you people keep teaching me.  I know this is not all that helpful to the veterans, but I have received a number of requests for my Cribsheet from those just getting their feet wet so I wanted to offer up my latest version here.  Its organized better than in the past and includes lots of new tweaks as you guys teach me new things.

As always, this is just my way of saying thanks to PI World for a great product and this is a small payback for all the pleasure I have in using the program and in participating in discussions here.  As before, feel free to use this as you will and to share it without attribution.  And if you want the Word version so you can adapt it to your own needs, just drop me an email and I will be more than happy to oblige.  Note, due to size limitations, this is a short form that leaves off a number of details from PI documentation that goes into much greater detail on, for example, PixelMath and masks.

Best,

Jim

Thanks Jim.  PI is a tool box and somewhat confronting for a newbie. Your cribsheet has enabled me to gain an understanding of the tools and how and when to apply them.

Here a new version that tries to catch up with the recent changes and makes some other fixes.

Hope it helps,

Jim

Very very nice and helpful.
Could u please post up the long form version of it?

I'm going to explore making a graphic of the whole document.....with the histogram being the breaking
point of linear to non linear....

Long version just adds some expanded tool information that makes the file too large for the PI Forum size limit.  If you would like the large format in a Word version, just drop me an email and I happily send it to you (also makes it easier to adjust to your own style).

Best,

Jim

Dear Jim !

I´am very pleased by your cribsheet, as I agree full with your philosophy. Your list ist so much important, so it was forwarded by my to all members of the "Austrian-PixInsight-Group".
Maybe you could send me a Word-Document  to  :    franz.gruber@natscience.at  as all your extended lists (long version).  They are really extremly helpful.

Many thanks from your Austrian Fan´s.

Franz
