I could swear that ACDNR's Lightness Mask is not working
« on: 2013 September 23 15:06:05 »
I'm fiddling around with some images that I downloaded from the Sloan DSS server. I tried to apply ACDNR to a greyscale image ("i" component of ARP 294), using the lightness mask in an attempt to protect the lighter areas, but when I enable the mask that I've created, nothing seems to happen when I apply the NR. If I disable the mask, the expected blurriness happens over the entire image.

What I am I missing here?

Attached: (1) initial image (2) mask shown via ACDNR's RTP; (3) ACDNR applied with mask enabled; (4) ACDNR without mask.

ACDNR is at default settings other than the Lightness Mask (Mid=.01 & Highlights=.02).

thanks,

Dave B.
