Hi all,
here's an image of ngc 6914, a faint reflection nebula in Cygnus.

http://www.enzosantin-astro.com/pre/NGC6914p.htm

This image was processed using the great tutorial about Deconvolution and HDRWaveletTransform...

Tech details are:

Telescope: A&M Ritchey-ChretiƩn 10" f/8
Mount: Paramount ME
Camera: SBIG ST8E ABG + SBIG CFW8
L:R:G:B = 580:190:190:290

Thanks for looking!

Hi Enzo,

This is a fantastic image. I love it in all respects: color, smoothness, detail...

I'm just curious about how did you process this image in PixInsight. How did you apply deconvolution to this one? Did you use the StarMask process to avoid ringing? If so, you did a really accurate and efficient work.

Very well done, Enzo; I'm very happy to know our software has contributed to this marvel.

Hi juan,
thank you for your appreciation. I have applied deconvolution on the LINEAR data accordingly with your tutorial about Deconvolution. Yes, I have used the StarMask process to avoid ringing and also in many other phases of the elaboration (not only for deconvolution): in fact, in my opinion, StarMask is a very useful tool. In general speaking, I like PixInsight  because it make possible a true scientific approach in the elaboration of every image.  Thank you again and... Ciao
