Hi,
Until now, I've been using a workflow based on a Windows system, as I had no guiding camera Mac Osx compatible.
Now, I have a Starbright Lodestar guiding camera which can be used on a Mac with PHD Guiding.
On Windows I used BackyardEos to capture (with a modified Canon 40D), PHD for guiding and all the image processing with PI.
I use for integration that tutorial:
http://www.astrosurf.com/astronosur/pixinsight/preprocessing-1.htmOr on the last images, the PI Batch Preprocessing Script.
But I'd like using an ALL Mac Osx process.
The only capture software that includes a Fine Focus routine (at least I've not found any other) on Mac is Nebulosity 3.
Giving that I only want to capture as I do with BackyardEos, and do all the resting process with PI,
Which Nebulosity 3 configuration do you recommend me?
All the fits I got from Neb 3 are Black and white (the CR" are in colour mode)!
And the fits headre info is always: BZERO = 32768 / offset data range to that of unsigned short
and not 65535 as read on other posts.
I have doubts on:
Using only the CR2 files and discard fits?
DSLR 16 bits scale activated?
Save in 32-bits floating point?
Color file format as Maxim type?
The optimum for me would be to get the same CR2 files as on BackyardEos and do the same process I do now on Windows...
Thanks
Fernando
