Urgent: Cannot load any project since last update.

Hello
Until last night I had no problems.
Today after starting PI, it offers an update (star....javascript) and I restarted PI in order to take effect.
After that I tried to load a project, and nothing was loaded.
After a trying with several projects, I restarted PI and tried again-> nothing was loaded.

On command console I get the following error on each project I tried to load:
....
* Loading images
*** Error: Unknown process: ImageIntegration
* Regenerating masking relations
* Updating workspaces
** Warning: The project has been loaded partially with 1 error(s).

PI frequently forgets about what processes are installed after updates. you might try telling it to refresh it's list of processes and then it will work.

Process > Modules > Install Modules... and click search

maybe if it remembers ImageIntegration the project loading issues will not occur?

You were wright. No modules where installed. 
After search it found 33 new modules....

Now every thing working again.

Similar problems have been reported a few times on Windows. In all cases it was a problem with antivirus applications blocking file writing operations during the update process.

I guess that having an antivirus program on your Windows system should be considered "normal working conditions." Try to go into the internet without antivirus protection on Windows, and you'll see truely abnormal working conditions within 30 seconds

search your forum, just happened to jerryyyyy with TGVDenoise. it happens. otherwise i would not know about it or say it publicly.

Of course. PixInsight's update system uses user access control (UAC) and code signing technologies. This is mainstream security technology on Windows operating systems.

Our update system works without problems with the most important antivirus/firewall applications. All of our virtual and physical Windows machines use McAfee Internet Security, and we have tested Norton 360 / IS, Panda IS, and Kaspersky IS. There have been some problem reports with other antivirus applications, although none recently. In most cases we have solved these problems by properly configuring the antivirus/firewall software.

Yes, software conflicts happen. Weird conflicts happen sometimes, especially on Windows, where running environments are significantly more complex than on UNIX/Linux systems (Trojans, hundreds of antivirus applications, "maintenance" utilities that wipe everything upon restart, system bugs, etc.). After five years of commercial PixInsight maintenance, I have seen many things. However, saying that these problems happen frequently may create the misleading impression that our update system does not work. It works, and IMHO it works very well.
