How to apply a Dynamic Crop Icon
« on: 2013 May 25 21:01:09 »
This must be obvious to all, but I cropped my RGB images, did my DBE etc etc and am 17 procedures down the road to a major work of astro art, but I cannot add in my L because it was not cropped to the same size as the RGB (I think).  I did kept the icon from the initial crop.

How come I cannot just drag the Dynamic Crop icon onto the L image and crop it to the same size as the RGB... Duh?

I tried to open it an apply it also.

I still have the History.

What am I missing? :surprised:

You can, but the trick is to create the icon before you apply it to the first image.

So you have your RGB image open, you start the Dyn Crop process, select a window to crop to in the RGB image's window but don't apply it.  Now drag the blue triangle of the Dyn Crop process onto the desktop to create a process icon of it.  Now you can apply to the RGB crop if you like.  Or you can cancel that Dyn Crop process and drag the desktop process icon onto it.  Either way.

Hi,

this is my first post.

Open the history of the RGB image and drag the green DynamicCrop Icon in the Proc Id column onto the L image. Thats it.

Don´t exaggerate, I´m just quite slightly advanced, I´ll have to learn a lot.
And I´ve seen, it wasn´t my first post, I had it in october.

I have posted I guess 52 times generally in despair learning to use this software... this is not a sign of experience.  I have been at it about 2 months.

There are a lot of moving parts.  It is really impossible to fully script like UNIX since many bits and pieces require subtle adjustments of parameters.  I will be happy to master HistogramTransfer.

Cheers
