lower limit in Range selection to sensitive

The "lower limit" slider in "Range Selection" is very sensitive, making it very difficult to adjust a mask. I've tried changing my mouse setting and that has not helped. Is there a way to make that slider less sensitive?

Hi Craig!
using linear Images with range selection is difficult with the mouse...
How do i handle this issue:
Clone the linear Image
Stretch it
Range Selection on the stretched Image gets you finer control with the mouse.
The Stretch i do either with a Histogramm midtonetransfer or
using STF and move the STF triangle over the histogram bottom part than
move the histogram trianle over the clone.
There ary many ways to stretch the Image it depends how the final rangeselection mask should look like.
Aloha

Hi Gerald;
Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a try.

Range selection, Part Deu;
I have found that I can get very precise but manually entering a figure in the range box and hitting "enter".
