Starmask bug in RC1
« on: 2012 December 24 03:10:21 »
Hello
I found a strange thing on new starmask process :

I have the top of the masked image which have tiny stars
In the example, I inverted verticaly the original image and I apply the same Starmask process to both images
Result shows 2 star mask with the top which has tiny mask (500 lines for the 1rst one and 250 lines for the 2nd one)
I doesn't come from the original image because in this case, I should obtain an exact verticaly inverted mask.

As "pfile" suggested me, disable parallel processing, it works

Please see my answer to a similar bug in the LocalHistogramEqualization tool; the same workaround applies here. Indeed this is a threading-related bug.

This problem is easy to fix (it's just a stupid mistake of mine), but unfortunately I cannot release an update until January 8th, so we are stuck for a couple weeks. I am sorry...
