Debayering ATIK 383L+ OSC
« on: 2012 November 24 17:04:12 »
Hi,

I have an ATIK 383L+ OSC and am trying to figure out the right debayer pattern for it. So far, I have set the FITs coordinate origin to up-bottom as I read in a SBIG 8300C debayering thread. I have tried RGGB and BGGR which both leave a sort of grid pattern behind so I doubt those are it. That leaves GBRG (which has an orange background) and GRBG (which has a bluish background). Neither one has the left over grid pattern I saw with RGGB and BGGR.

I suspect the orange one is the one I want to use but it looks nothing like the same image converted in maximDL, where the image has more of a red background. Do I have the right debayer pattern and this is just an issue of color balance or am I doing something terribly wrong?

quick update. After delinking the RGB channels in STF, it looks like I have it right with GBRG. So for anyone wondering what to use with the ATIK 383L+ OSC, try GBRG.

I think I need to correct this. It's actually GRBG if I'm reading this correctly:
