Finally Photoshop independent (but still not from Maxim)

My last step in moving away from Photoshop was to sort out the colour management system in PixInsight to produce reasonable prints.  It wasn't too difficult once I got down to looking at it.  For calibration of monitor and printer I used this device http://www.colormunki.com/ .  It's an all-in-one monitor, projector and printer calibrator; simple to use and works very well on the trial images I have printed.  So now I have a complete PI workflow from the time I load the raw images to printing them.

Still have to use Maxim for camera control.

I will have to follow up on your link. I use Maxim for image calibration. It would be nice to be able to under take such processes in PI.

Have you tried the BatchPreprocessing script.  Works really well.  Harry has a video here http://www.harrysastroshed.com/preprocessing.html
