Hi - sorry for the newbie question!
« on: 2012 March 02 07:27:24 »
Hi,
I've just started using Pi. So far, so great... but I have a question: is there any problem with keyboard shortcuts? For example, CTRL-- zooms out but CTRL++ doesn't zoom in on my system. Also, Alt+N should create a new preview shouldn't it?

Is this my PC (Win 7 64-bit)?
many thanks
Phil

Hi Phil, welcome to the forum.

I can not try at this moment but it was working well. As you said Alt+N change the cursor to the symbol of the preview, then you have to click and drag over the photo to create it.

Saludos. Alejandro.

Hi Phil!
The shortcuts work properly on my Windows 7 64-bit with PI 01.07.05.0779 .

Maybe you try to run the :
Reset PixInsight Setting
job from the Windows startmenu.
This usually fixes this kind of behavior of PI.

Aloha
Gerald

Thanks for the quick replies...
I ran the "reset settings" prorgam but that didn't fix my problem unfortunately.
I've checked my keyboard and all keys are functional and other programs work fine - it's just PI where (some of) the keyboard shortcuts don't do anything. I realise I don't actually NEED to use the shortcuts, but it would be nice (especial the zoom an dpreview ones I mentioned.

It's really strange. Ctrl+A works fine for auto stretch...

Thanks for your help
Phil
