Image Container holds computer hostage
« on: 2011 October 04 19:51:01 »
While performing a set of lengthy operations on a large set of files using Image Container under Mac OS X, the user cannot switch out to another application, or switch to another OS X Spaces Screen, without PixInsight bringing itself to the front.  This effectively disallows the user from doing other work while PixInsight operates in the background, because the application insists on being the frontmost application for the entire Image Container process.  This is nonsensical behavior.

can you detail exactly what you are doing? i think juan knows about this bug but has never been able to reproduce it. it happens to me mostly when running scripts like BatchFormatConversion or BatchDebayer. your problem seems like a new way to get this to happen and maybe if juan knows exactly what you have done he can reproduce it.

I believe I see similar behaviour with Win7. I applied an ImageContainer to a DynamicAlignment process icon. PI windows keep popping up again and again, effectively making work with other programs close to impossible.
