Processing Console and Process Explorer
« on: 2011 October 04 11:06:45 »
Two things keep happening that are inconvenient.

1/ My Process Explorer tab keeps disappearing, requiring me to go to View to get it back?
2/ The processing console  remains on top of my images after a process has completed, requiring me to "Hide" it or close it with the "X". I don't think this was happening a few weeks ago but it seems incessant now.

How do I set it so the console closes by itself after a process runs to completion?
How do I keep the Process Explorer tab from disappearing?

The process explorer only disappears if you dismiss it by clicking the 'x' in the top right. Don't do that if you want the process explorer to stay around. I would like the PE to dismiss itself after I open a process but I don't know how to do that. I now click on an image to make the PE go away. Annoying when you've just opened a dynamic process like DynamicCrop.

Try changing the console delay in the misc process settings.

Thank-you>

I think I had confused closing the PE with closing the PC. So, I will not close the PE by hitting the X anymore.

I could still swear the PC disappeared by itself after a process completed. Now it doesn't.

Was I hallucinating? Maybe . . .

The thing is an infernal  nuisance the way it is.  >:(

That happens because you have the console window in sticky mode. Just uncheck the Stick tool button and the window will return to its normal auto-hide state.

There's no need to click on an image. You can click anywhere, including PE's Hide tool button, the workspace, a window's title bar, a tool bar, etc.

Right. I would prefer if the PE window would move out of the way by itself though. I guess you expect us to start more than 1 process at a time? I never do that but I suppose it's possible.
