PixInsight Intro Macclesfield Town Hall 2 August
« on: 2011 August 01 02:53:41 »
The second in a series of talks I'm doing for Macclesfield Astro Club and will take place at Macclesfield Town Hall 8pm Tuesday August 2nd

The first talk covered how to capture data (scopes, mounts, guiding, dithering etc)

Tomorrow I will be processing a LRGB image from subs to the finished LRGB image using PixInsight

Thanks Sander and Harry

I'm pleased to report that the eveninig went well and I managed to produce a rather decent image of the Rosette  8)

A high percentage of the audience had already heard of PI.

Comments of 'that IS impressive' for the DBE tool. Gasps at the HDRWavelets enhancing the Bok globules. Appreciation of the usefulness of the StarMask plus MT to reduce stars.

It will be interesting to see how many download PI and try it .........

Glad it went well! I had similar reactions when I did my MWAIC preso over a year ago already.
