Up to the integration
« on: 2011 April 29 18:29:53 »
Hola,

Saludos.
Alejandro.

Hi

Alejandro, the results of your PI journey look pretty good.
As I understand Calibration, you don’t Cal the MasterBias file with a DSLR camera.
I was wondering if the subs, 25 to 30 and 53 to 58 were the last images of the night and the camera’s chip was getting to warm, creating the hot pixels?

Yesssss!, it is true, is more than clear in the summary of astropixel, I was overlooked. http://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=2570.msg19019#msg19019

The captures are 3 different days:

Day 1 - From 87 to 108 perfect calibration
Day 2 - From 13 to 59 bad from 25 to 30 in red and 53 to 58 in green
Day 3 - From 68 to 88 perfect calibration

Do you think it will be related to the temperature? If it is, in one month we will already have
temperatures below 0 degrees Celcius here so I am going to be able to check it.

Regards,
Alejandro.

25-30 doesn’t support my idea of camera chip temp but 53-58 may, but there’s 59. It my be something else; have you check the CR2 files for the chip temperature of the subs?  On my Mac I can use Preview to open the Canon T1i CR2 files and look at the Canon info which is different then the Exif data and  find out what the chip temp is of each sub. There my be a program on a Windows computer that does the same thing.  It’s unfortunate the PI’s ViewExplore does not show Canon's chip temperature.

I thought the same thing with 59.!

I don't know how to find out what the chip temperature is of each sub. I am going to investigate a bit...

Anyhow, when I do it manually with PixelMath substracting the MasterDarkCalibrado from the light, it works for all the channels. :-\
