gzopen64 symbol undefined?
« on: 2010 September 03 17:22:15 »

Do I need an extra library installed? Ubuntu 10.something. PI crashed when I pressed the 'browse' button in the install modules dialog.

/home/sander/pcl/bin/PixInsight: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libxml2.so.2: undefined symbol: gzopen64

I disabled the 'native dialogs' option but it still crashes in the same way. Will look online and see if I can figure out what I need.

Hi Sander,

This is a known problem with PI on Ubuntu. See this forum thread.

The workaround is easy: just remove libz from the bin/lib directory.

The next version will fix this problem.
