trouble with PI window display

Hello everybody,
I'm having some trouble for sometime now.
It's probably just a user problem, but let me explain what happen.
My OS is Windows Vista 32b.This problem is relatively new could be some weeks. When I open an image It's on the top of the PI window, then if I open a process some of them will open a the very bottom of the window in fact the slider appear in the right side of the window and I need to "push" it to the top the equivalent of 5 or 6 windows, that is very annoying.
If I open first the process it appear in the top of PI window, if I open an image it is in the very bottom of the window and need to push it to the top to see the process and the image at the same level.
I've reset the preference to the default, Deleted and reinstalled PI without success.
What I'm doing wrong?

Hi Antoine,

Now this is really weird. From your description I'd say this is a video misconfiguration problem. It seems as if your screen resolution (on Windows) were much greater than your actual screen resolution, or something like that...

I'm not sure if this makes sense, as I haven't heard anything similar before.

Could you please tell us what is your screen resolution, as reported by Windows' Control Panel?

Also, what's your video adapter?

Thank you for your help.
My monitor is a CRC Dell 17" M991 display is set to 1152 X 864 pixels.
I've this weird display only with PI.
I tested different display size 1024X768 etc..
I get the same behavior, some process will open down, 5 to 10 windows, other not and it's not a recurrence phenomenon.
Histogram will do that some time not all the time.
Bizarre.
