gradient and possible tigerstripes
« on: 2019 December 10 18:58:36 »
Hi everyone--new to PixInsight and this forum.  Not new to imaging and making pretty pics.

I'm using Warren Keller's "Inside PixSight" as the processing guide and have made master cropped images in LRGB.  All of them show severe gradients and tigersrtriping to some degree.  I wanted to attach sample image(s) but apparently they're too large to attach--I'd be happy to send them along if there's some way to do that.

Trying to use the ABE and DB processes but haven't gotten good results.  I'd appreciate any suggestions--ABE and/or DB settings, etc., that will solve this problem.  Thnx in advance!

Steve

if you upload them to dropbox or google drive or whatever and share them, you can post the link here and someone can look.

hmm, what is the source of these images? it seems like the flattening is bad and there was RBI preflash in the lights but not in the darks. however that's just a guess as the striping is not consistent.

what kind of camera is this and what kind of shutter does it have? what is the duration of the flats?
