question on installing pi on a new system
« on: 2019 December 04 12:49:28 »
Hi all

I have a question
I have access to a Z8G4 system with 2x Intel 8260M processors and 64GB memory. Also a Nvidia P4000 GFX.

I'd like to check how the performance is compared to what I use.

I will only have it for about 2 weeks.
But was curious to see how well it performs.
Can I do this or is this prohibited?

I loaded it but it asks for an identifier and an activation code.

I tried to use the one I use at home on my other 2 computers but it did not work.

For now I just want to use the 1.8.06 build.
Can I do this or is this prohibited?

Hi,

You should be able to load PixInsight (Windoze, Linux, Mac versions) on multiple PCs that you use or own.  You will use the same activation codes for these installations. I don't think that this can be done with the "Trial License".  You could test the power of your PC on http://www.pixinsight.com/benchmark
