Processing RAW format
« on: 2019 September 21 12:17:34 »

I'm a rank newbie, working with the trial version.
When I do BPP on a set of RAW .CR2 images to stack and register the images, all I get is a stacked image that looks like total noise ( i.e. a frame filled with tons of stars ).  I worked with a RAW frame when following the 'DSRL Settings' video tutorial and I'm wondering if I have to do any prep work on my RAW data before using BPP?  Otherwise, I don't know how to get a good stacked image out of the BPP processing step.

Hi,

Perhaps this will configure the RAW file format.  From the top menu select View ---> Explorer Windows ---> Format Explorer ---> RAW ---> Edit preferences ---> Pure Raw ---> Ok. Now try your BPP again.

I apologize for the delay in getting back to you.  I've been fighting system crashes.
You were correct.............the problem was related to my not specifying a CFA image.
Thanks for your help.
