Integrate multiple nights images
« on: 2019 September 02 18:27:46 »
Hi,

I was wondering what is the best option to integrate multiple different nights shots of a same object, take for example the milky way.

I have a set of 20 images : 1250 ISO, 20sec exposure + 20 darks
Another set of 20 images : 800 ISO, 20sec exposure (slightly different angle)

Is it better to calibrate, align and integrate the 1250 ISO + masterdark set to get 1 xisf integrated image, then integrate the 800 ISO set and get another xisf integrated image, and finally integrate the 2 xisf together with ImageIntegration ?

Or

calibrate the 1250 ISO set with masterdark and then align both the 1250 ISO set and 800 ISO set in the same StarAlign process ? (Then integrate the registered aligned xisf ?)

Thank you !

as long as everything's calibrated with the proper matching frames, it should be OK to align and integrate them all together.
