is there any algorithm around for image interpolation using Akima's method? I have implemented that for the 1D case and I do like the results. I faild to find a proper publication about the 2D case. The ones i have found appear to be quite incomplete with respect to the algorithm description. ( I need one for regular grids). Or do the programmers here have experience with Akima-2D?? How are the results?
