generating avi files with blink
« on: 2019 January 15 16:26:52 »
Hi,
I was trying to generate an avi file to see how it's done using blink. I was successful in generating the avi file, however, the resolution drops severely toward the end of the file when I run it using either VLC or Windows Media Player. Any thought as to what may be causing this? Although the files size of my avi file is 336K, I am unable to post it here due to the image suffix not being allowed. I wonder if anyone else has seen this effect. Using Windows 7 and the latest PI rev.

you probably need to increase the bitrate... just do some googling for ffmpeg codecs and bitrates.

Thanks for the response. Needed to add 'Q 5' argument ahead of the output format to eliminate the degrading resolution.
