I image wide-field (<200mm) and DSO (>800mm) objects and process the images with PI using the same basic parameters.  I always take Darks, Flats and BIAS subs and until recently I used the BatchPreProcessing script.  I recently started processing my images manually and generally use the recommended default values for ImageIntegration, ImageCalibration, StarAlignment …etc.

My question is, should I use different default values / entries for the above processes when I do Wide-Field vs. Deep Sky imaging?

I image with a modified Canon 6D.

Hi Jim,

I used an standard Canon 600D and I use the same or very similar setting for wide-field and for DSO's pre and post processing.
