just learning PI so I'm probably missing something... I've processed a DLSR image that I used Drizzle Integration on. In the final steps of processing, I want to reduce the stars so that the galaxy is more prominent. I have followed the steps of creating a contour star mask and morphological trasform outlined here:
http://www.lightvortexastronomy.com/tutorial-reducing-star-sizes.html . I notice that there is little to no change in the image. If I resample the image and scale it down to 25% and follow the same steps, there is a drastic change in stars.
Not sure what's different in the larger Drizzled image. Any ideas would be appreciated. I've tried various modifications to the settings in both the star mask process and the MT process with no real change.
