Local Normalisation Scale parameter
« on: 2018 November 24 16:55:38 »
Is it me or my data? When I do local normalisation I have to use a scale parameter of 512. If I use anything less (between 64 - 256) I get blotchy backgrounds (the background is uneven and appears as lumps that change in colour around different areas). I am processing OSC data from an ASI071Pro.

Is this a reasonable scale value, or does it mean I am losing something

Normally I use 512 or 1024. Almost always the pictures improve, otherwise I take the stacked picture directly.
