storeSettingsDataTypeInt32 fails
« on: 2018 September 25 09:31:56 »
I have posted this error also in a post relating to Windows 10 Appdata.. I can say now that both of the scripts BatchPreprocess and SubframeSelection will randomly fail at a call to function stroreSettingsDataTypeInt32. eg line 538 in SubframeSelector script.  Once it happens a couple of times I have no recourse except to do a complete reinstall of Pixinsight to do anything.

UNTIL Windows 10 updates about 2 months ago this never happened. Now it is consistent.
I suspect a solution might become that I must run Pixinsight as administrator from now on.  I'll try that.

This problem is so bad it is extremely tedious to just do basic image calibrations.

There seems to also be a consistent tie-in to using Cosmetic Correction to make a process icon for a batch of images which also points to something fundamental related to Windows 10.

Any ideas appreciated.
Ron

I did relocate my PI temp directory. Made sure it is writable too.
Running PI as administrator does not help.
Simply doing a batchpreprocess where I stacked a bunch of flats yields this error..ni attachment.. In addition the usual 5 cannot write errors.
Honestly it getting to the point I need to make a linux computer just to use PI. This is the only program on this computer which is giving troubles. Is there a windows 10 guru out there someplace?

I never had troubles using the exact same files systems until now. Next thing I'll try is the painful copy everything to my C drive just to process something.

best,
Ron
