not sure if this is the right forum but...
did a capture of the mars conjunction with M20 & M8 the other night. after integration though, mars was trailing a wee bit.
i tried comet alignment (not sure if this even is a valid use case for that tool), however all the examples i've seen basically requires one to subtract the background stars to get a comet only image.
i am unable to do that since M20 & M8 are in the background..
what would be the correct way to process this?
