Annotation for Herbig-Haro???
« on: 2017 December 24 11:04:31 »
Anyone have an Annotation file (for the Annotate Script) that covers Herbig-Haro Objects and would be willing to share it?

Thanks, Alkex

Hi Alex!
Tried to find on the NASA Page, which has hundreds of object calagues, the HH catalog, couldnot locate it.
Itsa pity because downloads from Nasa  page fit nicely in a custom catalogue.
From where did you download the HH catalogue?

It is from http://vizier.u-strasbg.fr/viz-bin/VizieR?-source=HH . I have attached my formating of the data as a file for a user catalog. (Never attached anything before. Hope it works!

Hi  Alex!
Excellent!!
Thanks a lot.

If you want and dont have it, i can provide the LBN and LDN Catalog for  use as Custom Catalogue.

Gerald,
I'd really appreciate that. Love to annotate images just to see what I've missed and also to be able to point to an object and say, "this is ....". makes a good substitution for true knowledge. I have also have a catalog of MHO (Molecular Hydrogen-emission Objects), also young/forming stars. There is some overlap with the Herbig-Haro catalog, where the HH objects also have molecular-hydrogen emissions. It is also from Vizier, but is for positive declinations only, and I have not fully tested it. The original data had several blown fields. I think I got the all (but who knows?). It exceeds the max attachment size. But I could email it to you or anyone who wants it. Maybe it would be nice to have a repository for these type of user catalog annotation files??

All of this interest in young star stuff is because I am processing an image in the region of IC5070 (Pelican Nebula).

Cheers, Alex

Hi Alex!
As i am imaging mostly molecular clouds in the southern hemisphere there are a lot of HH objects.
So i am interested also in this kind of objects.
Find attached my catalogue which includes LBN LDN HH objects and a few more.

Hi Gerald and Alex,
I'm interested to know how I can add your catalogs to the Image Annotation script.
Using Custom catalog or text is probably the way but I need your help.
Thank you

Hi Atoine!
Yes you select, Script, Render, Annotate,
here you select CustomsCataloge and
enter the filename AND the path.
See attached Link

Hi Gerald,
That worked fine, I just was not looking to the catalog path at the right part of the windows.
Thank you so much.
