I've got bad and good news regarding this issue.
The bad news first: it looks like
dcraw has been discontinued. The latest version was released in May 2016, and it added little to the previous one, released almost one year before, back in 2015.
The good news: fortunately, we have
LibRaw, which is a live open-source project providing all of dcraw's functionality, and much more. So I am starting to work on a stable integration of LibRaw in our PCL development framework. The next version of our DSLR_RAW support module won't depend on dcraw anymore. Instead, it will integrate LibRaw and hence will support new cameras now and in the foreseeable future. It will also come with new debayering algorithms. So stay tuned.
And by the way, an additional good news: the DSLR_RAW module will be released as an open-source product from now on. This is consistent with the new open-source policy I described when I
announced version 1.8.5, where my goal is to have all PixInsight modules and tools released open-source in the medium term.
