I’m working on a four panel mosaic of M31. The Lum and RGB subs have come together beautifully and matched up very well with only a few pinched artifact problems to correct. But with the Ha subs, I’m having a lot of trouble getting the four panels to match up as to field illumination. Failing with the normal processing, I tried the DNAlinearfitscript, which has worked very well before, but has had no effect on these Ha panels. The data in the Ha panels is pretty good, better than other Ha panels that had no problem matching up in other mosaics. I’m really perplexed about these. Any ideas what might work to bring their field illumination into alignment?
