1.08.05.1532 x64 Glitches
« on: 2017 September 27 17:28:49 »
I haven't seen any other reports on this, but on my OSX machine the last update resulted in strange behavior in the UI.  For example, dragging and dropping process icons doesn't always work...usually takes 2 tries.  Another example...putting a mask on an image doesn't always work the first time.  This action usually results in a duplication of the mask...very frustrating and slows down workflow.

I'll ask an old question again too...no Control A on OSX?  At this point I've grown used to this very missed shortcut, but the items above are very strange.

Thanks,

-Lloyd

lloyd, this is a known problem... juan had to work around bugs in Qt and this is what we're stuck with. the drag and drop is hit and miss.

what does control-A do on windows? if it's auto-stf, on OS X that's command-a (but auto-stf off is control-s)

The drag and drop Qt bug does take a bit of getting used to, you have to slow the drags down a little and it will be more robust. You know when it is not going to work as the dragged Icon has an X underneath it. For the mask I find the mask image has to be fully on screen and you then need to drag until the Icon has a small box underneath it, the position this happens is slightly inboard of the border, sort of on the line between the border and the image itself.

Thanks, Rob / Chris...

It's a bit frustrating, but doable.  I'm actually glad I'm not the only one.

Rob, ctrl-A on windows is a select all  Very useful when grabbing a bunch of files at once.  There are OSX workarounds, but select all seems to be just one of those normal things you should be able to do.

oh, you mean control-a in a file open dialog? i guess this is a limitation of OSX, i don't think an application can change the behavior of a file open dialog to that extent...
