I am using PixInsight 1.08.05.1353 on a Dell AlienWare desktop running Windows 10.
I have opened CosmeticCorrection. I open one of my loaded images from CosmeticCorrection and I create a small preview. Then I open the preview and I click the Real Time Preview button. PixInsight waits 10 seconds or so, and then pops up the attached error dialog. It is very reproducible. I have tried enabling native dialogs and not but that does not help. I do not get the error if I open a preview and use real time preview from HistogramTransform.
I get the crash if I use a desktop icon that I saved with CosmeticCorrection and I loaded it with 8 images. If I open a fresh CosmeticCorrection or do a reset on it, then load an image, no crash happens when I use the Real Time Preview but instead, nothing happens at all. No preview, no error. I only get the error when I try and reuse a saved CosmeticCorrection icon in one of my project workspaces.
I realized I had not selected auto-detect on the dialog and so of course, nothing was happening. So the above paragraph is no longer valid.
I killed a couple of Dell processes that were running on my system and I rebooted and a Windows update was installed. Now the problem seems to be gone. I am not sure what happened, but CosmeticCorrection seems to be working correctly now.
