Calculating the quality of a stacked image
« on: 2017 August 03 10:31:05 »
Hi,

I am looking for ways to calculate the quality of a stacked image. I.e. the SNR (which I get from ImageIntegration) but also that I successfully rejected outliers. I can check for "clipped" pixels, i.e. if I set the outlier rejection parameters so far that we clip pixels. But I wonder if there is a way to calculate that other artifacts (e.g. cosmic rays) are now "gone".

Basically what we now do manually by looking at a stacked image and see that a plane trail or cosmic ray is "just" gone.

Thanks for any ideas!!!
