I know this topic comes up a lot, but I 'm trying to come up with a good strategy to deal with the conditions that I have to work with, and I'd really appreciate any insights that people have.
Here's my situation: I have extremely poor skies at home, with terrible light pollution from street lights. I typically get a few nights a year under dark skies in central Oregon, when I can capture LRGB data, but for most of the year I'm limited to NB only. My primary camera is a mono CCD with both LRGB and NB filter sets, but I do also have an aging DSLR available.
What I'd like to do is find a good strategy for making use of potentially a large number of hours of NB data that I can combine with a rather smaller amount of LRGB. What kind of combining strategy might make the most sense here?
Any insights much appreciated...
