Batch preprocessing error
« on: 2017 March 02 09:00:13 »
Downloaded PI last week to give it a try and have not yet been able to do anything with it. All the tutorials I have found instruct batch preprocessing and that feature just gives me this error messege:

*** Error [001]: /Applications/PixInsight/src/scripts/BatchPreprocessing/BatchPreprocessing-engine.js, line 303: ReferenceError: StarAlignment is not defined

I have tried to find a way to use the program without it but haven't had much luck as the version being described in the tutorial seems different than what I am using.  Kind of disappointing but there is a chance it is OS incompatibility (I'm running OSX 10.8.5) I have a free upgrade to Sierra so I'm curious if perhaps I should just do that? I installed all updates just prior to this and when relaunched I got a couple error type prompt boxes (but didn't make note of what the issues were).

hmm, 10.8.5 could be unsupported at this point. i was hanging back on 10.10 for a long time but am now on 10.11 and PI works fine for me.

that error is pretty low-level; it's almost like the SA process is not even installed (there are a bunch of dynamic libraries holding the processes that PI loads on startup...)
