Warning message when saving file
« on: 2017 February 20 10:44:47 »
I'm getting the attached incorrect message when I try to save a modified image. What's wrong in this message is that the image has been modified more recently than the message says.

A little more background:
- windows 10, latest pixinsight
- error is occurring on all 14 masters in a project
- each master had DBE run on it as the last action
- the project was saved successfully, now I'm trying to save the images (so I can run HDRComposition)

Can I ignore this message without losing history?

Update: I went ahead and saved the 14 masters since I really didn't have a choice. The saved images don't have the history  :-[ but the processing that I did (DC, DBE) is not lost  :)

Any thoughts on this? I spent a bit of time trying to reproduce it with a simple scenario and wasn't able to. I'll keep trying.

Is there something about saving images to the file system that's incompatible with saving images in a project?

This happens because the Dropbox software is interfering with the files you are saving on the Dropbox folder. The Dropbox application is always monitoring its shared folder as a background process. Please don't save projects and images on the Dropbox folder directly.

That said, most of these problems will be solved in the next version 1.8.5 of PixInsight, where I have implemented more robust file management components.

Juan I have a follow-up question:

I have a background backup process that runs every day at around 2am. Sometimes I'm using PixInsight while this backup is running. Will the backup process interfere with the files in the same way that Dropbox does? Maybe if you could detail what this interference is it would help
