ImageIntegration Question
« on: 2016 December 30 16:29:57 »
Wondering if there is a good way to remove the lines in my integrated luminance frame. I see these "lines" from image rotation occasionally when I image over multiple nights. Attached a screenshot of my integrated image and my ImageIntegration settings.  Any ideas?

Looks like an artifact introduced due to variations in the centers of frames--that's a good thing (dithering) that allows removing bad pixels automatically. If that's the case, then those line represent frame edges--not sure why they are black, though. Nonetheless, one usually just crops away the edges. If you do a crop on one type of integrated frame (e.g., L) the identical crop should be done on the other integration as well (e.g., R,G,B,Ha). One way to do that is to drag the triangle off the dynamic crop process once you select the cropping area, and just drop the triangle on all other stacks. Of course, you want to crop sufficiently to remove the bad boarders from all frames, so be consider the most aggressive crop needed to remediate all of them.

Thanks Alex.  I normally do a DynamicCrop after a quick LRGBCombination to remove the bad edges, but I was wondering if maybe I'm doing something to introduce the black edges (as you point out). I'm happy to crop the edges, but if I can modify my process to fix the issue, I'd like to try that.
