Closing an image opens another

I don't think this is a bug as much a global parameter maybe that I cannot find. I don't remember this happening before the last set of updates. If I have many images shaded and I close the last one in the sequence the previous image opens. Say image 1-4 and close 4, 3 will open. If in that sequence I close 1 then no other image opens. While I can see merits to this I would like to be able to turn that off.

i agree, i think what happens is that if the next window in PI's list is shaded (minimized to just the title bar) then the act of closing the active window causes that shaded window to become the active window, and then PI unshades it. i don't know if this is a Qt thing or PI is explicitly doing it. but it does bug me.

I agree, kind've annoying.  Every time I close an image and another automatically unshades, I instantly minimize that image again.

Yes, this is a bug (Qt related) in the OS X version of PixInsight that I'll try to fix in the next version. Sorry for the annoyance.

Instead of shading, you can iconize the images. This problem does not happen with image icons. Personally, I almost never work with minimized (shaded) images. Image icons preserve more workspace and provide image thumnails, which minimized images don't.

I'm using Windows 7. Like I said at the beginning of the thread this just started after the last couple of updates. Sorry I had 2 sets of updates, the 20th and 21st and I don't know when it happened.
