PI Core 1.8.0 Ripley crashes with DBE

I've had three crashes in a row trying to remove background gradient with DBE.  The only error is "PixInsight Core 1.8.0 Ripley has stopped working. A problem causes the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

The OS is Windows 8 Intel i5-3210M CPU @ 2.5 GHz, 8 GB ram, 64-bit X64 based.

Follow-up!  I re-installed 1.7 and everything worked fine.

This problem should be fixed in version 1.8.0 RC2, which will be released this weekend. Thanks for your patience.

My first post, came to find out why I was getting the same error. Maybe I'll install 1.7 also until it's fixed.

Love the program so far!
